Summer Boone
Recruit Profile
Top tier defender/midfielder committed to being the best teammate and most coach-able player on the team. I am driven by success and the challenge of being a winner!
Lacrosse player with four years of competitive experience. I have lead my teams from the defensive and middie positions. I just completed my summer season playing in multiple club events as well as the Maryland Lacrosse Showcase. At this tournament I was selected to be on the 1st Team All Tournament Team. This was a team I competed against older girls for a spot as an all star. The team was chosen by the college coaches in attendance at the event. Last year I ran on my high school's cross country team earning a varsity letter. This year I plan on branching out and running winter track. Over the summer I took one summer school class in science and I I am taking a full load courses in my sophomore year which include honors science and Algebra 2.
I would say that my lacrosse strengths are the following: stick skills, speed, aggressiveness, tenacity and unselfishness. I excel in team environments and often times find myself sacrificing to make the extra pass to the open teammate. I try to be the uplifting and positive teammate when I am on the field or sideline. Always encouraging and promoting teamwork. I love the competitive aspects of sports, but most important to me is the team part. All of my past coaches would tell you that I am very coach-able and always bring a positive attitude.

Summer has really improved her leadership skills this year through our Leadership Council. She has challenged herself in a number of ways that are showing on and off the field. We look forward to continuing that progress over the coming years and seeing it spread to her teammates.
