Sara Mendelson
Recruit Profile
Motivated and driven, coachable, aggressive, multi-sport athlete (lacrosse, cross country, basketball)
I'm a sophomore at Jemicy High School. I'm a former national competitive gymnast, as well as a former competitive dancer. A few years ago, I fell in love with the sport of lacrosse. Since then, I have not looked back. I'm a 3 season athlete, cross country in the fall, basketball in the winter, and of course, lacrosse in the spring. My first year in High School started without a school lacrosse team, so I played for the FCA. Halfway into the season, my school started up a team, and I played games with the FCA and practices and games with my school. This school year I am Vice President of my class. I placed third in my school on an oratorical competition last year and look forward to continued participation in the Model UN this upcoming school year. My greatest attributes are being coachable, motivated, driven, extremely hard working, team player and will always go the extra mile for my team. At the end of the season last year, I received the Capital Area Lacrosse League All League 1st Team 2021 award and The Jemicy School Female Athlete of the Year Award.

Sara is an extremely talented and skilled athlete. She is not only a player you want out on the field but, need on the field because of her athleticism. She is a strong and versatile midfielder on the Coppermine 2024 Black team. Sara excels on both the offensive and defensive sides of the field. In between the restraining lines is where Sara really shines. She is able to compete very well at the draw circle, and is consistently all over ground balls. In addition, her ability to transition the ball is just a small part of what makes her a great midfielder. Sara has a strong love for the game, is easily coachable, and constantly trying to improve her craft. I am so glad to have her on the team!
