Oscar Young
Recruit Profile
Coachable, athletic, multi-sport athlete with strong Lax IQ-- a disciplined and committed team player, with a great personality.
I started playing lacrosse when I was in 6th grade. I mostly played midfield and face off in my younger years. During my 2019 Lacrosse season, I started in a midfield position. A couple of games into the season, my head coach moved me to LSM. My coaches saw that I was good at defense and so I now start as LSM on the Varsity team. In addition to Lacrosse, I play Wide Receiver and Corner on the Varsity football team, have played Basketball, and run Cross-Country. I really enjoy playing defense because I enjoy being physical on the field. I like to challenge myself on the field, and will do whatever is needed to help my team win the game. I also challenge myself in the classroom by taking Honors and AP courses. I especially enjoy serving the community locally and globally. I have participated in two humanitarian service trips (Peru 2019 and Madagascar 2018) and volunteer at the local Ronald McDonald House. I am planning on a third humanitarian trip to Nepal in the summer of 2021. I will have over 400 hours of community service by graduation.
