Recruit Profile
--

I started playing lacrosse in 2011 through my local recreation team and I began playing club lacrosse in 2018.

I have a dominant right hand, but I am comfortable using my left. I am the most efficient communicator on the field and always trying to help our defensive unit get the ball to our attacking zone. I am calm under pressure and comfortable moving outside of the crease to get a ground ball or make a clear. I am always looking to improve my skills and finding ways to do so. I am a big team player and celebrate my teammates accomplishments. Likewise, I like to get my teammates excited before games.

My teachers have described me as a positive influence on those around me. I am a known leader on and off the field, as I am the Student Council Sophomore Class President. (I was re-elected as the Junior Class President). Besides student council, I am also a member of Junior State of America (speech/debate), Eagle Ambassadors (tour guide/represent IHA), Model UN, Mock Trial, and CARE (community service - 90+ hours). I was also inducted into IHA's St. Brigid Society prior to my freshman year. I am passionate about safe driving, and I am a member of IHA's Traffic Safety Squad (TSS). I received a 100% on my Knowledge Test for my learner's permit. I was appointed to be the Chair of the TSS Red Decal Committee and we worked to encourage the MVC to further promote and increase accessibility to the red decals that new drivers must put on their vehicles. In June, I received the AAA Northeast Driver Education Student of the Year Award for my efforts to promote traffic-safety.

I love to learn and I highly value my education. I have been on IHA's Distinguished Honor Roll (95+ average) for every semester of my HS career. I took 5/5 Honors classes freshman year and finished the school year with a 4.46 GPA. For my sophomore year, I took 3/3 Honors classes and 2/2 Advanced Honors (Pre-AP) classes (ended with 4.5 GPA). For my junior year, I will be taking 2 AP classes and 3 Honors classes, and a class before school.

I am determined to play and train at the college level. I am most interested in pursuing a degree in either economics, government, or business.

Meghan is a hardworking and committed athlete with high academics. She has extremely quick hands and a strong stance in goal. Her clears are quick and accurate often initiating fast breaks. Meghan loves the game and her passion is shared with everyone around her!

Meghan is the epitome of a student athlete. She has all the intangibles to be an elite goalie and work ethic to be extremely successful both on and off the field. Meghan is the type of player every coach feels grateful for having in their program.
