Maxwell Sloat
Recruit Profile
Highly motivated and driven team leader, with a strong lax-IQ, fast-dodging ability and strong step down shot. Big build with an agressive ride and good vision.
I started playing lacrosse at 10 years old. I quickly fell in love with the sport when I was moved to my current lefty attack position in 7th grade and worked my way up to a starting varsity spot on my HS team as a freshman. I was the second leading scorer as a freshman, scoring 55 points in 12 games, including a hat-trick in the first half against a nationally ranked St. Pauls team during an East coast spring break trip. I am very comfortable dodging from X and from the wing. I am also very comfortable with time and room shooting. I pride myself on my hard work turnover defense, especially riding. I caused countless turnovers in my most recent tournaments this past fall and summer. I also pride myself with my composure and maturity on and off the field, and my leadership under times of stress for my teammates.
I was selected and played for the 2019 Under Armour West Command division All-American team. I am a 2-time Maverik Showtime attendee, and I was selected for the 2019 Naptown National Challenge all-cruitcast team. In 2020 I was selected for the Pacific Northwest National All Star Games team, as well I was invited to attend the 2020 NLF Elite 130 Showcase, and Maverik Showtime for my third year.
I also played high level club soccer from age 6 till eighth grade. The past two years I also started at left striker on my HS varsity soccer team as a freshman and sophomore. I believe academics come first and have a 3.81 cumulative GPA so far. I am currently enrolled in AP History and Honors Spanish and am enrolled to be in 2 AP classes and 2 Honors classes for my junior year.
