Lauren Mathews
Recruit Profile
I am a determined, coachable, multi-sport athlete. I am an aggressive quick player and I am not afraid to push myself beyond my comfort level.
I am a 2025 multisport student-athlete at Mamaroneck High School. I play lacrosse and field hockey in the midfield position, as well as track. I play lacrosse for Team 91 Tri-State. I started playing at five years old. I have played for my school, club, and town teams. I have been working hard and consistently improving my skills, lacrosse IQ, and fitness year after year. I won MVP awards multiple years in a row and will be trying out for the varsity team this season. I played for the 91 National team this January at the Sand Storm tournament in Indio, California. I spend a lot of time watching and re-watching women and men's college/upperlevel lacrosse games, I strongly feel that this has and will continue to help me learn new techniques and grow as a player. I am a physical and confident midfield player who is very comfortable taking the draw. I am a trustworthy team player with a strong field sense. I can read the field very well and always know when an open opportunity is available. I am a strong student and plan to take multiple AP classes in my junior and senior years. I participate in many extracurricular clubs ranging from volunteer services such as Midnight Run, The Fuller Center, and The Boys and Girls Club of New Rochelle, to global animal protection and political clubs. I have also volunteered for Hope's Kitchen food runs for the past five years. I have a part-time job at a small local interior design/retail store. I work at least ten hours a week. My daily responsibilities include helping retail customers, communicating with vendors in the store as well as on the phone, and resolving issues independently as they come up. My job, athletics, and academics have allowed me to become a confident individual and student-athlete.
