Kelsey Barratt
Recruit Profile
I am a multi-sport athlete but I love lax! Coachable, team player, a leader and will play any position. My strength is seeing the assist and making it happen!
My mom put a lacrosse stick in my hand at the age of 5 and I started playing in second grade. I have 5 years of club experience where I play mostly attack, though I have played midfield and defense. I made varsity lax my frosh year but was injured early in the season. I rebounded and played a big role on attack in the playoffs, including scoring the tying goal in semifinals to come back and beat Princeton. I also scored twice in the state championship game, we lost 9-4 to one of the best teams in NJ and the country. I am fundamentally sound, am comfortable using both hands, and have a knack for seeing and making the assist, which I consider an important role. I also play JV Soccer and Basketball for the HS. I was voted co-captain in both sports and received the Coach's Award and Rising Viking Award (voted on by my teammates). I am a member of DECA (I will be competing in the State Conference this Spring 2021) and Student Alliance. I volunteer for the youth group at my church and one of my passions is riding horses. I attend advanced horse camp every summer and take lessons during the year. I believe I can make an impact at the collegiate level.
