Julia Sokolowski
Recruit Profile
Fast w/aggressive re-defends & rides. Team player, coachable, ambidextrous, disciplined multi-sport athlete with strong Lax-IQ.
I started playing lacrosse at age 7. In the 9 years I have played, I have never missed a game. I am fast and pride myself on my aggressive re-defends and rides. I consistently cause turnovers and get interceptions. I am strong with both hands. I was the only freshman to play in all games, even Championship games. I also was on the Under Armour All-American Baltimore Team and were the Tournament Champions! At the end of my Sophomore year, I earned 6 varsity letters: 2 for lacrosse, 2 cross-country, and 2 indoor track.
Academically, I am ranked in the top 5% of my class and am a member of the National Honor Society. I'm also a member of the National Society of High School Scholars. I have been in student government for the past 3 years. I completed AP Government and scored a 4 out 5 on the AP exam. I am taking AP Psychology, AP Environmental Science, and AP English Language and Composition. Since elementary school, I have near perfect attendance.
I am a Girl Scout and have earned both my Bronze and Silver Awards. As a Girl Scout and Peer Minister, I perform community service on a regular basis. I have a passion for helping people with food insecurity. I help coach Scoopers, a lacrosse program for Kindergarteners and work for the Naval Academy Athletic Association.
Initially, I come across as shy. However, once I am comfortable, I am talkative and funny. I am interested in studying Kinesiology or Exercise Science with plans of becoming a Physical Therapist.
