Joseph Veome
Recruit Profile
Field leadership, compete level, work ethic, stick skills and coachability are my lax strengths. I live for lacrosse. I love to compete and be a member of the team.
I've competed in association, club and high school field and box programs for eight years. Year around play has allowed me to develop a good intuition on the field and sharp stick skills. I was selected to the All Star team @ Midwest Elite Top 80 Showcase in Westfield, IN, November 2019. I started for the 2021 True state team that had a successful winning season playing against East Coast teams in New Jersey and Pennsylvania over the summer of 2019. In spring 2019, I made my Lyons Township High School's varsity team (22-2, conference and sectional champs) as a sophomore and was a starter on our undefeated conference champion JV team (16-0). I was honored to win the 2019 varsity award for team enthusiasm and also was chosen for LTHS's student athlete leadership training program. Fun fact: In 2017, I started on the Minnesota Stars bantam team that won the USBOXLA National Box Championship in San Jose, CA.

Joey is a strong defender, can communicate well while also covering in 1v1 situations. He is solid off the ground and his box background helps his ability to play some transition in the clearing game. He understands his range as a defender and plays smart.
Jack Spallone
Joey is a technically sound defender that thrives in physical situations. The box influence on his game is very apparent, he does very well handling the two man game and has a good stick, versatility and playing short stick can also be part of his game at the next level.
