Jack Speidell
Recruit Profile
Always looking for the extra pass, for the best shot not the first. Coachable, team player. Great discipline, great in transition or during slides, overwhelming defenders.
I started playing lacrosse at 4. My uncle, Edward, was a Syracuse defender and I used to go to all his games as a baby. He gave me my first traditional wooden lacrosse stick when I was 3 or 4. I started with in-house clinics at Three Village. In 3rd grade, I started playing with Coach Spallina on the Team 91 Bandits. I started at defense and moved down to attack. In 8th grade, I was named Captain, the leading scorer on JV and played up on Varsity at Port Jefferson.
I work hard on and off the field. I enjoy volunteering for my local youth sports programs, PJ youth lacrosse and football and Infant Jesus Basketball Youth League. In middle school, I volunteered at a Developmental Disabilities camp, Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck. I am part of the Friar Faithful at SAHS serving as a volunteer for various activities.
I look forward to contributing to the rich history at St Anthony's High School both academically and athletically. Academically, I have continued to take honors courses since middle school. I perform well in all subjects. Math and sciences are my favorite.
