Grant Grieves
Recruit Profile
I am coachable, hard working, love the game, team brotherhood is important to me, dual sport athlete, leadership skills, and dedicated.
My name is Grant Grieves and I am a Senior at Fossil Ridge High School. As a student-athlete, I have learned that hard work and dedication mean more than always winning. I have been playing lacrosse for 14 years and this is my 7th year as a defender. Playing lacrosse has taught me how to respect myself, my teammates, and my coach, and when we do this, it will truly set a team apart. Through the years, I have developed a deep love for this game and the brotherhood that is created on a team. This bond drives me to become better for my teammates as well as for myself. Currently, I am in the STEM program at our high school as well as in my fourth year of a foreign language. This year I was able to continuously make the FRHS Honor Roll Saber Cat list, as well as the Principal's List. During our last lacrosse season, I was able to achieve two of my personal goals: to make varsity as a sophomore and then to start, which I did at LSM.
As I continue to prepare for college, I am committed to staying focused on succeeding academically and challenging myself to become the best athlete and all-round person that I can.

Grant is a high character person with a great work ethic. With his size, athletic ability, and willingness to work hard, the sky is the limit. Grant excels in many aspects as a defender, but his ability to be a lockdown player while being a leader with his on and off ball communication is a game changer. Big things for Grant Grieves for Spring 2022!
Ethan LaHoda
Grant is a very strong defenseman who can play stifling on ball defense. He is big, fast, physical, and smart, and uses great approaches and footwork to dictate the direction of his attacker. In addition to being strong on ball, he is also very good sliding and communicating off ball. Grant can push transition and and be a threat scoring, while also making smart decisions with the ball. Grant would be a great addition to any defensive unit.
Will Cantwell
Grant Grieves is an athletic, strong defenseman with a strong stick who can consistently pick up ground balls. He's an asset in the clear game, and if given the opportunity he can start transition and he is a threat to score. Grant shoots over 90 miles per hour. He took great strides in learning our defense last year, and he has shown a consistently he's willing to work hard on all aspects of his game. We plan on moving him around this year depending on matchups, and he's poised to have a stand out junior season.
