Connor Riley
Recruit Profile
Quick, physical, technically-savvy faceoff specialist/midfielder who can cleanly exit in any direction; a quick clamp with ability to grind out wins; strong lax IQ; multi-sport honors athlete; National Honor Society
I started playing competitive lacrosse at the age of 8. In addition to lacrosse, I spent my youth playing many organized sports including soccer, baseball, as well as 3 consecutive years of both football and wrestling. In my first year of wrestling, I ended the season with a record of 32-0, taking 1st place in all three individual tournaments that I entered. In lacrosse, I have enjoyed playing both midfield and attack. However, I really enjoy facing off at the X. I love the one-on-one aspect of the position and the skill it takes to win at the X. This summer, I was recognized as one of the top "Standout Players" at the IL Midnight Mania event as well as earning All-Tournament Team honors at both the 2021 Under Armour All-America Tournament (SPOTLIGHT Division) and the NXT Baltimore Showcase. I received an Inside Lacrosse Evaluation Score of 91. In the fall of 2020, I was named King Of The X Champion at the 2020 NXT Nike Boys Philly Showcase going undefeated in the faceoff competition. I also made the varsity lacrosse team as a freshman. In addition to going to Philly Faceoff League (PFL) every week where I get reps against the best local high school and college players, I am constantly practicing with my older brother Matthew who is committed to Georgetown University ('25) as a faceoff specialist. I am on the President's List at Salesianum School (DE) and recognized as a Salesian Scholar. A member of Salesianum Mock Trial Team and National Honor Society.

One of the more well rounded guys in the class. his hands are fast and his counter ability is ever improving to an elite level, Connor is extremely tough, an unteachable attribute that helps set him apart. comfortable with the ball in his stick he rarely makes a mistake after securing a win.

Connor is an extremely athletic and tough faceoff man. He can do more than just take the draw as he handles ground ball battles and traffic with the ball very well. Hand speed is high level along with a good understanding of when to bail on the initial move and reactively counter his opponent.

Connor is no question one of the top 2023 FO guys in the Greater Philly area. With great technique and an extremely hard clamp, Connor has adjusted well to the new faceoff rules. He’s also not afraid to get physical by lifting and countering his opponents if they win on the initial whistle.
