Connor Nesbitt
Recruit Profile
Loves the grind; hyper competitive, internally motivated, patient, even-keeled, quick learner, team-player, generous, positive mindset, hustles, never satisfied, coachable, high lax IQ, rangy, relentless nose for the ground ball.
I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. Both of my parents are athletes, so I was introduced to athletics pretty early in life. My mom is an accomplished mountain biker racer, skier and marathon runner, and my dad is Ironman triathlete, cyclist and marathon runner. Early in my life, I was on the local swim team, where I won lots of individual races. I also participated in triathlons, going undefeated in all of my races. The biking part of the triathlon is my favorite portion of the race. I continue to race mountain bikes, and will compete on my high school mountain biking team this fall.
I started playing lacrosse when I was in 2nd grade. I've always like winning ground ball battles more than scoring goals. However, because I can also run and shoot, my coaches felt like playing LSM was a natural position for me on the field. When I was in 4th grade, my local team the Stapleton Jets won the state championship. We repeated as state champs the next three years. Our last state championship game, I scored two goals as an LSM, winning MVP of the game. During the winter, I also enjoy playing box lacrosse for Stone Flies in the Denver Mammoth League. We won the championship 5 consecutive years in a row.
In 2018, I decided I wanted to play club lacrosse and started playing box club lacrosse for Denver Elite. We traveled all over the United States and Canada. At the Calgary tournament, I won the MVP of a game, and my coach Jeremy Noble, gave me the tournament ring as a reward. Unfortunately, I tried twice to make the highly competitive Denver Elite Sliver field team, and didn't make it. Eventually, through hard work and determination, I made the team in 2019, and I'm their starting LSM now. I played in the 2019 World Series of Youth Lacrosse with Colorado Scorpions.
I just finished my sophomore season at Regis Jesuit. Started Varsity. 1st Team All-Conference. Our team finished 3rd, losing in the semis to our rivals.
In my spare time I enjoy working on cars; traveling internationally and learning about different people and cultures; mountain biking, and working on a small business I started with my dad.
I have a 3.64gpa. I am taking honors geometry. I'm interested in business and engineering.
