I started playing lacrosse in middle school but focused on lacrosse as my primary sport in High School. I was able to make the Varsity team as a freshman. I started this past season as a sophomore. My high school team was undefeated in the D2 southern conference in Texas prior to the Covid-19 Pandemic/season cancellation.
I was the assistant coach for a local K-2 & 4U youth lacrosse team in the spring.
During the summer of 2019 I played in the Naptown Challenge, Farm Valley Challenge, East Coast invitational team tournament & showcase, I was also in the TXD Elite 150 showcase and recognized as on of the Top 40 ALL STARS.
During the Fall of 2019 I competed in the NLF Fall invitational, Victory Series Best of Texas Tournament, Victory Series Cowboy Cup, and the Longhorn Shootout.
As a lacrosse player I believe by strengths are communication, off ball defense and my lacrosse IQ. I am coachable and dedicated to improving my lacrosse skills.
I am currently an A/B student including AP and pre AP courses. I was recognized for academic excellence 2018-19 and anticipate academic excellence for the 2019-2020 school year. I am interested in studying computer science in college.
In the off season I keep up my lacrosse skills with playing box lacrosse, and attending all local off season training opportunities to include defensive clinics, weight training, and conditioning.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time on my father's ranch in south texas and hanging with friends and family.
I am involved in my community volunteering at youth football, lacrosse leagues, youth lacrosse clinics as well as various local opportunities such as the Houston food bank, Operation Christmas Child, and a local Thanksgiving fun run benefiting the Lunches of Love. After Hurricane Harvey, I helped with clean up efforts in our local community that was directly affected by the flood. During the Covid-19 pandemic I have volunteered my time assisting in my community & my parents as they are both essential workers.

Chris earns everything. What you see is the result of hard work, dedication, and focus. He's smart, highly coachable and wants to learn. He chases improvement with the same aggression displayed on the field. As a sophomore he's earned respect and become a leader within our program.
Ed Torriero
Chris' work ethic is second to none. A tall, physical kid who constantly asks questions and soaks up information in all phases of the game. A true student-athlete as well as student of the game. His focus on fundamentals and being tough on the corners has driven his success.
Brendan Chamberlain
Chris is Raw & Physical. Steffek presents the tools to be a great defender with his size and how he plays technical defense. While being a physical presence Chris does a great job off ball communicating & organizing the clearing game
