Carson Bielen
Recruit Profile
Tenacious, intense, strong-willed defender. High lax IQ, very coachable, resilient, goal-oriented, fast, vocal & determined. Unselfish, driven leader who plays passionately as a teammate. Hard-working on and off the field.
When I was little, I never learned how to crawl. One day I just started walking. After walking came running, and after running came lacrosse. I started playing lacrosse when I was 5. I played for my Glen Rock travel team through 8th grade. I started playing club for BBL from 5th grade to 9th grade. Last year, I made the switch to CLC Pride. I also made my high school, IHA, varsity's lacrosse team as a freshman last year. This year, I am a starting defender as a sophomore. It's easy to say that I have fallen in love with the game.
I can easily pass and dodge with both hands and am extremely proud of the way I play team defense and how I handle 1v1s. I am difficult to get past on defense because of my aggressiveness and sound footwork. I pride myself on my speed, strength, endurance, and leadership skills on and off the field. My competitiveness drives me to be the best that I can be in whatever I do. I am a hard worker that will take the time to improve my craft so that I can go where I want to go. Doing all of these things has gotten me where I've wanted to go, and I am determined to be a collegiate lacrosse player.
I am also a hurdler, long jumper, high jumper, and sprinter on the winter track team. I am taking honors classes and am in many school clubs like Junior State of America, Business Club, French Club, and Photography Club. I have been a Girl Scout and in service in general since kindergarten. I have received the bronze and silver GS awards and am currently working on the prestigious gold award. I have over 200 service hours and am a 2 time recipient of the President's Volunteer Service Award. I was awarded IHA's "Exceptional Service to the Elderly Award" for my work with an elderly service provider. At my school, I am a service group leader and an elected member of the Christian Service Board. My relationship with God is very important to me. I was also elected to be on the CLC Leadership Council! I love reading, surfing, and coaching my little sister's 2nd-grade lacrosse team. I know that with grit and determination, I can accomplish anything I put my mind to!
