Andrew Baumley
Recruit Profile
High Lacrosse IQ, Excellent Teammate, Plays Both Sides, FOSO not FOGO, Aggressive in the Crease & Passionate
My name is Andrew Baumley, but you can call me AJ, and I am currently a junior at Huntley High School. I have been an athlete since before I was in kindergarten. While I have tried several sports, I studied Taekwondo for 6 years and have played lacrosse for the last 7 years. In Taekwondo, I competed in sparring at the local, state and national levels while earning my 1st, 2nd and 3rd degree black belts. I was introduced to lacrosse 7 years ago, and have played community and travel club teams. I consider myself a utility player since I have played all positions. My coaches like to call me their Swiss Army knife because I can play both sides of the ball in several positions. Recently I have concentrated on middie and face offs. I am an asset to my teams because of my leadership and my ability to read the game to execute strategic plays. As a freshman, I was selected to the varsity team and as a sophomore, I was selected as an All Conference Midfielder. My goal after high school is to play lacrosse in college. I am currently interested in a career involving athletics.

Dominic Saccomanno
AJ puts in the work. He's always working on his stick and working to improve himself. He's a lacrosse player. Great IQ, understands all positions well. He plays with an edge and has a high motor. As our opponents become more difficult AJ shines. It's easy for kids to rack up points against weaker teams, but AJ seems to get his points in the tougher games. He's a regular swiss army knife, and does it all well.

Jack Strahm
AJ understands how to play the game without the ball in his stick and finds a way to create space. He has a high IQ & feel for the game and is a player that will win over a coaches trust by how hard he plays.

AJ’s game embodies playing with a chip on your shoulder. He’s incredibly gritty, has a nose for ground balls, and is our teams Swiss Army knife. Need a FO late in the game, AJ goes, need a tough ground ball, he will go get it, need a man down D stand, AJ again, make plays in transition also AJ. His versatility will make him an asset to any team, but his determination and intensity can swing games.
