Alex Loveland
Recruit Profile
Multi-sport athlete, passionate player and team leader integrating box and field skills to break down defenses and facilitate goals
I started playing lacrosse at 5 and I have played defense, face-off, midfield and attack on several club teams (ADVNC, West Coast Starz, and Calilax). I started playing box lacrosse competitively in 7th grade. I received the tournament MVP award at the Canada Day tournament in 2019. I led my varsity lacrosse team in goals and assists in my freshman year and was named to the second team all-league for the Western Catholic Athletic League. As an Attack, I am comfortable passing in tight spaces and finishing inside as well as outside shooting. My box skills enable me to break down defenses and facilitate goals. I also play high school waterpolo and freshman year was named team MVP, moving up to starter on varsity as a sophomore. I am in honors science and math classes for both freshman and sophomore years. I have spent a week doing service on a Navajo reservation last summer and I volunteer throughout the year with Young Men's Service League (a mother/son philanthropy organization). I am taking Honors pre-calculus and AP English and AP Bio this year.

Alex is a gifted athlete with tremendous skills. Shoots great both right and left and is as adept feeding from behind as he is going to the cage. Very strong box lacrosse player as well who's physicality can take over a game. Rides hard and covers ground with ease.
