I have played lacrosse for 10 years. Now, I am a leading defender on my high school and club teams. This spring has been amazing as my high school team won the State Championship where I was named All-District by the coaches in my division. Plus I was selected to the 2022 Texas Team, American Select Lacrosse. In the spring 2019 (freshman year), I was awarded MVP Defense for my high school team. I have played on Varsity for three years.
I pride myself on my aggressive 1v1 defense. During the state championship game, our defense allowed only 1 goal in the second half. I am a key player to stop the ball, force a pass by the offense, plus get the ball down the field and cause a turnover. I understand and utilize plays called by coaches and adapt quickly. My ability to handle stress during high intensity games is also one of my greatest assets. I am a strong communicator and motivator to my teammates on and off the field.
Since I played goalie for four years, I have a special understanding on how attack and middies take shots on goal which helps me become a more effective defender, but I am also athletic enough to play anywhere on the field. My coaches will tell you that I am consistent, dedicated, flexible, and ready for the next level of play. I believe I am a major contributor to my team.
Outside of lacrosse, I volunteer at a senior living facility and work as a part-time youth referee. My hobbies are scuba diving, hunting & fishing, and working on our family farm. I attend a small rural school where I am involved in the Debate Club & Yearbook Committee (Editor- 2 years). I have completed two years of dual credit college courses & an AP history class.
I want to continue my lacrosse career as the discipline and leadership it provides will assist with my professional goals. I plan on majoring in Accounting or Forensic Science and minor in Russian Studies to help me achieve a career with the FBI.
