My name is Cate Duhig, graduating in 2020 from York Community High School in Elmhurst, Illinois. I am a midfielder and draw specialist measuring in at 5’9’’ and 135 pounds. I run a 6:10 mile. Currently I am taking honors and AP courses, holding a 4.36 GPA out of a 4.0 scale. In addition to being awarded all conference my freshman year, I also was selected for positions on the US Lacrosse Team, Under Armour All America Command Team, True Illinois State Team and the True National Team. In addition, I was awarded Best Newcomer on Varsity Tennis my freshman year. I am a very positive person and am able to find the best in every situation. I always appreciate feedback from coaches and listen to their advice on how to continuously improve my game. As an incoming freshman, I was awarded the Principal’s Award for character and hard work, the only girl to do so. When I am not on the lacrosse field, I enjoy playing tennis, cross training, and participating in Young Life meetings. I am also a youth lacrosse coach and am on the student board for Young Hearts for Life which provides free EKG’s to high schoolers to check for heart conditions. Lacrosse is my passion.
